someone who has external fonts working should make a post that I (or other people) can just link to whenever there's a question about fonts

it needs to cover at least the @import query, the @font-face query, and as many common pitfalls as possible

(okay maybe I should write it but I'm not feeling like dedicating an hour to troubleshooting every possible method of importing a font right now)
