Mostly I do so because I am extremely uncomfortable with intimacy in real life, I'm almost entirely incapable of viewing others ( real people ) in a romantic or sexual light. Doing so within fiction feels much more comfortable to me personally.

i don't because i just don't i guess... it was never something that really appealed to me. i think part of it is because i'm an introject and i already ship my sources with other characters, but i don't really count that as myself? additionally, i don't really like imagining myself i romantic scenarios and find it difficult to do so.

so, tl;dr, i don't because i find it hard to imagine myself in romantic scenarios and i usually just project onto my sources in a ship rather than involving myself or an OC

Now for more context on the "I think", I am fictionkin (Spiritual/Past life), I identify as multiple fictional characters and find myself shipping my kintype(s) with characters I love because said kintype and character were a thing in my canon/past life (As an example, say I kin character A, and in my past life as character A I liked character B romantically, so in my current life I like character B and ship character A with character B, if that makes sense from a non fictionkin perspective)
I don't know/think the above counts as selfshipping which is why I said "I don't, I think" but maybe I'm wrong I don't know much about the other sides of the fictionkin community
Edit: I just remembered I have a mutual who is a yume and fictionkin and ships his kintype with his yume but I'm still not sure about myself
