For me that was reading books out loud, reading game dialogue, fics or scripts you write and really putting yourself into the shoes of the characters. That’s part of how you learn to emote and make a performance feel believable based on what’s happening!

It’s fun to get a group together over VC and live dub things too, which is what I got a chance to do through sites like Casting Call Club.

And once I was finally able to take classes, I see that those are similar techniques people still use. Hopefully that was specific enough but there’s always plenty to say on the topic! I’m still looking to improve every year and do cleaner reads :)

oooh this one is kinda long. i’ve been making silly voices for inanimate objects since i was five and i also enjoyed reading fiction books to my siblings and later volunteering at libraries. but what really clicked for me was playing sonic games and listening to the voice acting! i started recording files on a tape recorder back then around 13 years old doing impressions of the VAs. i would read the dialogue lines from DS games out loud and then in 2017 i finally started to check out sites like casting call club! after getting involved in a few fan projects i decided to start my channel and try dubs. i was also heavily inspired by the persona 4 hiimdaisy comic Sapphire had worked on at the time and how many times you could rewatch it. i knew i wanted to make stuff like that for my favorite franchises! i’ve been uploading a lot slower but there’s still plenty of things i got left to work on. even if you take time to start all that matters is that you finally tried. :)
