What is some advice you’d give to aspiring voice actors? I’ve been trying to do some voice over work lately and I really admire your work, I would love to hear what you have to say! :)
Thanks for your kind words! If you’re just starting out, I highly recommend practicing in ways that make it fun for you!
For me that was reading books out loud, reading game dialogue, fics or scripts you write and really putting yourself into the shoes of the characters. That’s part of how you learn to emote and make a performance feel believable based on what’s happening!
It’s fun to get a group together over VC and live dub things too, which is what I got a chance to do through sites like Casting Call Club.
And once I was finally able to take classes, I see that those are similar techniques people still use. Hopefully that was specific enough but there’s always plenty to say on the topic! I’m still looking to improve every year and do cleaner reads :)
