If your characters were pokemon trainers, what would be their main/ace pokemon?
AWOOGA Oh man there's so many to choose from. But I think I've got some good ones >:)
Comet- Zoroark Cinder- Ditto Penny- Dragonaire/nite Star- Mimikyu Rodney- Galarian Zigzagoon/Obstagoon Silvy- Contest-ready Galarian Ponyta Milke- Minccino Marble- Joltik Myu- He IS the pokemon. Monty- Appleton [she does not battle with him, just feeds him snacks and pampers him. Her real main is a perfect-IV, EV trained Azumarill that has thick fat] Joey- Sableye [or Grafaiai] Oob- pretends to be a shiny ditto
Given you had all the resources needed to make it happen, what is your biggest ambition with your work? (being published, getting fully animated, etc etc, big pipe dream stuff)
MAN. My DREAM would be making four full animated series with incredible animation and books to go with them with amazing box sets and incredible illustrations on the covers and inside the books.
- The Harvester (studio trigger or dreamworks' old 2d team (road to el dorado))
- Starstruck Studios (the Lackadaisy team or disney (zootopia))
- Find Your Wings (studio trigger for fight scenes, Knights of the Light Table for everything else)
- Birth by Fire (Spindlehorse or Studio Bones)
And then with my infinite money I would bribe anyone I needed to keep my shows on their respective channels/streaming services ;) And maybe I could pay them off to stop cancelling other animated things LMFAO
but yeah I have. many many dreams and ambitions but alas I am a little man with $23 in his bank account. BUT. It's always fun to think about, and I do plan on making pseudo-trailers for these non-existent shows.~ If you can't have the real thing, make a convincing fake!
Of your entire cast, who would you want to be stuck in an elevator with?
OH this is a fun question! I can think of... quite a few factors that would go into this choice. So strap in cuz I love overdoing things.
Format: -Character -Most likely end result -'Stuck in Elevator with them' rating out of 10 -Reasoning
Star Get out of the elevator safely 8/10 Star could use his magic to get us out instantly. Boring answer, but at least I'm not gonna have a panic attack in there.
Penny Talk tea with until the elevator is fixed 7/10 Penny would be really good at keeping me calm and would definitely have some Front Desk Gossip to share, to distract us until the elevator was fixed.
Milke or Silvy Have a not great time talking someone down from their own anxiety 4/10 Both Milke and Silvy would be pretty unreliable in this situation, as either of them [especially Milke] would try and put on a brave face but would fret the entire time and get worse as time went on.
Cinder Deal with a full-blown panic attack 1/10 Ya ever put a fox or a squirrel in a small confined space? Doesn't go well. Would not have a good time.
Comet or Myu [CENSORED] 11/10 Either Myu or Comet would be a wonderful choice if I wanted to get absolutely ββββββ against the ββββ ββ βββββ and told to ββββ βββββ ββ βββ βββββββββββ ββββββ βββββ ββββ ββ while they're trying to βββ βββ ββββββββ βββ βββββββ ββββββββββ ββββββ ββ.
Joey Scream and shit pant 0/10 Joey would jump up and down in the elevator to make it shake while laughing. I don't feel I need to explain why this would be. βοΈ. A Bad Time.
Considering all the vore that goes on in the studio, how do you guys get anything done?
Star: Oh! Oh gosh that's quite the ah, the direct question- PENNYYYY, could you take this one? :D;;;
Penny: Sure, not like I'm finalizing our 2025 budget or anything-
Star: LOVE YA PENNY THANK YOU KISSES MWAH -poof-
Penny: ... -pinches brow-
Penny: "It's a fair question, anon. The world wide web only gets a small window into everything that happens here at the studio, so I get how it can look like we're a bunch of horny kinksters with no free time. And while that is true for Myu, the rest of us lead pretty busy lives outside of business hours.
What clients online see are the "photoshoots" that are ordered in the studio. You online viewers call them "commissions." But, when we're not doing requested shoots, we're doing normal people stuff. Talking with friends about the most recent Karen we had in the studio. Staying up until 5 am crying over our DnD campaign script because we can't get the big bad to emotionally resonate. Staring at the ceiling at 6:43 pm worrying that we came off too strong in that flirty text we sent three hours ago. Eating shitty instant noodles.
Most of the time, we're just existing in this crazy pocket dimension and trying to get by while we figure out how to get back in touch with our original worlds. Not all of us want to go back, but some of us miss our families and old friends. We didn't know when we signed up that we were signing up for a one-way trip. Even if Star says it's temporary."
-Penny's gaze loses focus, and she presses the end of her pen to the side of her lip, lost in thought-
"Regardless- most of us keep work and personal life pretty separate. Except Comet. His lines tend to blur pretty often, but, I can't super blame him. Guy's got a lot going on. So, if anyone was gonna wander around with a client still "occupying" them, it'd be him." -She pensively bites the end of her pen before looking the viewer up and down for a moment- "... Though I have been guilty of carrying some around myself, now and then. I don't mind working with 'distractions' if I'm chipping away at some personal work, or a good book. I digress- despite all the appointments and nonsense that happens here, we all manage just fine thanks to a pretty solid separation between work and personal life. And, having a pretty lax boss helps." "... Ha! No, not Star. He's made it pretty clear he'd rather we all focused entirely on work instead of messing around." -Her eyes unfocus again for a moment before she dismissively waves a hand, looking annoyed- "I have work to do, now shoo before Star comes back and regales you about the finer tannins of a good grape juice."
Who is that dastardly individual in your bluesky profile picture,,,,
THAT WOULD BE ME LMAO It's my main fursona form, Stoat! This ref is a bit outdated, but here's all my main sona info.~ He's a sizeshifting polymorph :>
Do you have voice claims for the cast of Starstruck?
OHHHHHH...... OH THAT'S A GOOD ONE HANG ON.
Okay so the short answer is no, I don't have any specific VA's picked out for them yet [except for one]. I've never found the Perfect voice for any of the cast, but I do know what each of them sound like in my head.
Star:
Stereotypical anime protagonist boy voice. Sounds like he's in his mid-late 20's. He has the least distinct 'sound' in my head, as he's trying to constantly be palatable, friendly, and cheery. But... I want his voice to be able to have an edge to it when he gets stressed out or the facade starts to waver.
Comet:
Comet has a smooth, calming voice. But he strays into 'best friend of the anime protagonist' sort of trope territory when he gets riled up. He doesn't have any sort of accent. I could see him having that sort of 'stereotypical goth guy' voice, but a bit smoother and more confident rather than whiny. Little bit of vocal fry to his voice if he gets REALLY pissed/growly. Josh Keaton COULD do a good job with it, but it's not perfect.
Penny:
When Penny is friendly and putting on her customer service voice, it's much higher than her natural tone. She has a medium-tone voice with a lot of power and authority behind it. She's calm, sassy, and has a lot of bite to her voice when she wants to shut someone up or she's getting pissy with a client over the phone. She can turn from sweet and higher-pitched to 'dominatrix' at the drop of a hat.
Marble:
Marble is big, tough, and built like a fridge, but in my head she has a very soft and monotone voice. One you'd want to read bedtime stories to you. [Makes her a great DM/GM] However, her voice is very 'clear', and doesn't have any rasp to it unlike a lot of deep-voiced women characters I've seen.
Monty:
Monty is an easy one- she's a southern belle with a medium-low voice. Her words sound like honey and she could put anyone at-ease.
Joey:
Joey's got an interesting voice in my head... She's a gremlin, and she's a new yorker, but she's hispanic and was raised with english being her second language. However, you wouldn't be able to tell unless she gets angry. If she's calm and in her element, it's all new york. If she gets angry, the spanish accent slips in before she switches to full-on angry spanish ranting. Not sure what her tone would be though, I'm imagining medium to medium-high?
Nova:
Vi from Arcane. : )
Cinder Jewel:
She's the newest member, and she doesn't really have a distinct voice yet! I'm sure I'll figure it out over time.~
Myu:
Myu just makes a bunch of dumb trilly sounds, it's hard to describe lmao
Taylor:
That's a harder one. He's definitely got a rasp to his voice. But he also kinda fits the stereotypical emo vibe, with more of an edge. Medium-tone.
Silvy:
Now this one is hard! Silvy is trans-masc, so I haven't decided if he should have his pre-transition voice, or if he's more gender ambiguous. Either way, he's very lilt-y and has a lot of charm and charisma. Probably a medium-high tone.
Milke:
Very Fluttershy-esque, but not a 1-to-1 exact match. Small, soft, quiet, very polite.
What is your favorite kink or niche interest, if you had to pick just one?
Giant/Tiny / Size Difference, no question.
Listen, I love noms stuff. It's great.
But, G/T has been there since my childhood- my parents told me stories about how when I was 4 or 5, I had tiny imaginary borrower friends I cared for in my room. I'd put them in my toy cars and carry them around in cups. I remember a vivid dream of trying to safely escort some tiny friends out of a party in a cup so people wouldn't see them. G/T has been with me since I was a wee lad, and it's always been a part of my identity.
Now, noms were also definitely still there in my psyche- but I've had a very complicated relationship with the topic ever since I was like, 10. But G/T is something I've always found comfort in.
It's the 1 thing most of my friends immediately associate with me, and I'm happy with that.~ There's not enough non-sexual [nothing wrong with nsfw though] G/T in the world, and even though the community is relatively small, I'm glad I get to be a part of it and contribute.
Have a doodle from a few nights ago :)
What advice would you give to someone trying to get started in art?
Genuinely, the simplest advice I can give as someone who's been doing art for about... 15 years now on a serious basis?
Start drawing the things that you're the most obsessed with. Yesss yes I know learning the basics is important, but you need to form those initial paths in your brain between your head and your hand that will allow you to draw. You don't have those connections in your brain when you first start out, so getting even a shape in your brain to look right on a piece of paper is hard at the very beginning.
So, just start drawing things you really like! and DO NOT get caught up on how bad it looks. Just keep doing it. You have to kill a lot of goblins [bad drawings] before you can ever hope to kill a dragon [make a good drawing].
Be patient. If you just KEEP doing it with little studies now and then, you'll get better.
Use whatever methods you need. Ref, tracing [just never claim the traced work as your own. EVER.], tutorials, whatever program you want [for digital] any medium you want [for traditional]. Don't do things a certain way because people say 'that's how you're supposed to do it'.
Don't focus on 'having a style', it'll come naturally. Just do what makes your brain feel ':D' and your style will form.
Oh, yeah... and a more esoteric piece of advice, apologies if this one makes 0 sense. Over the past 2 years, I've come to realize that a part of art that you CANNOT force, you CANNOT really control, is your brain's ability to /understand/ what you're trying to teach it. For example, I've tried to understand the properties of shadows/light/etc for my entire career. I would just get frustrated and say 'i /think/ I get it?' but I never did. Then recently, I studied it again, and it 'clicked' in ways it hadn't before. Why? No idea. So there's gonna be things that are super hard for you, you just CANNOT grasp it no matter how hard you try. But never give up on it. Sometimes your brain just needs time to change and learn and some day you'll feel that 'aha' moment. Either by someone explaining it in the 'right' way for your brain, or because you learned other aspects of art that suddenly made the concept you were struggling with make sense! Keep studying from a variety of sources and artists.
Be patient. Practice frequently. And DO NOT compare yourself to other people. That's a quick way to wanna give up. I still get caught in that trap 15 years later.
What's your favorite animal and how many would you have at home if you could? And what names would you give em?
Mannn... I have a complicated relationship with ferrets. I /love/ ferrets so much, but there's a few things that keep me from getting them again. They're stinky, high maintenance, and just. Don't live long enough. They live JUST long enough for me to get heavily attached as they're in their sunset years. If this /wasn't/ the case, though, and I had no limitations on space and such. I'd probably have 2-3 ferrets and name them Cooper, Danny, and Macaroni.
HOWEVER if we take FANTASY into account.......... I'd definitely have a big fluffy Furret and name it Cooper. Best body pillow/cuddle buddy E V E R but then I would never get work done cuz I'd be squishing their face all the time. Or buried under fluff.
Why do they call it oven when you of in the cold food of out hot eat the food?
Cuz when you oven the cold food and hotout the hot food you shoven the hot food in ur mouth
Give me ur chocolate lobster, nerd π
NOOOOO MY CHOCCO LOBSTER YOU MO NSTER.
How powerful are novaleit tails, exactly? Like what is the maximum amount of weight they can lift? O.O
They work on toon logic- so as strong as they need to be for it to be funny! Sometimes that means they can lift a car, sometimes that means they can't lift a fork LMAO
For a less toony answer- pretty strong! They are fluffy and soft but have a squishy, really strong core that could break things if they wanted to.
Tuli, what would you say is your favorite of your (mis)adventures to tell the others in the studio about or reflect upon?
"I mean, honestly my favorite to this day was during one of our DnD finale sessions. Everyone was sure that my rogue was going to die because I rolled four nat 1's in a row...... But i wound up blowing up the fina l boss by rolling a perfectly timed nat 20 when the boss was about to deliver the killing blow. But. Then I had my character do a cocky victory lap and they inhaled a bit of boss dust and passed out from choking."
