What you write here reflects what you are.
Mary Jane! Please tell me how do you appreciate and love yourself? Really, it would be a long journey for me to start loving myself.
Mhm. Loving and appreciating yourself truly is a journey, but itโs one worth taking. For me, self-love is not about grand gestures but a quiet, steady practice of understanding and accepting myself. It begins with small things, like acknowledging my strengths and being kind to myself in moments of failure. I remind myself of Anne Elliot from Persuasion by Jane Austen. She says, โWe live at home, quiet, confined, and our feelings prey upon us. You always forget how much a woman suffers, alone, and finding no relief.โ But Anne also shows us the power of resilience. She doesnโt let lifeโs hardships define her value. Her ability to move forward with grace inspires me to face my own challenges while recognizing my worth. Your journey toward self-love is uniquely yours, but know that taking even the smallest step matters. Start by acknowledging your worth. Write down qualities you admire about yourself, or take pride in the things youโve overcome. Celebrate small victories, even if itโs just showing up for yourself today. Keep in mind that you can always rewrite your story. Itโs never too late to begin.
Hey there, MJ! Any plans for NYE?
Iโm planning to spend New Yearโs Eve with my boyfriendโa quiet, perfect night just for us. Sitting on the balcony while watching the fireworks lights up the sky. Having a candlelight dinner with our favorite steak on the menu that I cook by myself and sipping wine in between. Savoring the moment. But truly, itโs his presence that will make the night unforgettable. The look of love in his eyes and our shared smiles and laughter. His mere presence is my favorite kind of night, my kind of New Yearโs Eve. He is my plan.
Do you have a special wishes for new year, MJ?
Iโve always been full of wishes, and with the brand-new year just around the corner, my heart is brimming with hope. This year, I wish to continue becoming a better version of myselfโsomeone who learns, grows, and evolves with each passing day. Iโm proud of how Iโve weathered the storms, turning the rain into nourishment for my growth, and Iโll carry that resilience forward. I wish to keep my heart openโbig enough to lend a hand to those around me, to forgive those who may have let me down, and to hold space for kindness in every corner of my life. I hope to stay steadfast in not letting negativity take root within me, choosing instead to focus on light, love, and purpose.
The rest shall remain only God knows. Grins.
For my first try, hereโs my question: If you could change the ending of any movie, which one would you pick and what would you change?
If I could change the ending of anything, it would absolutely be the final season of Game of Thrones. The build-up over seven seasons was nothing short of phenomenalโrich, complex characters, intricate storylines, and masterful world-building that captured the imagination of millions. But then came the last season, and it felt like watching all that incredible groundwork being undone in a rush to wrap things up.
For me, the most frustrating part was how many character arcs were disregarded or poorly resolved. Take Daenerys, for instanceโher transformation from a liberator to the โMad Queenโ was so abrupt it felt unearned, especially after years of showing her struggle to balance power and compassion. Similarly, Jon Snowโs arc seemed to fade into nothing, and Bran being chosen as king felt out of place given his detachment from humanity throughout the series.
I would have loved an ending that gave each character the conclusion they deservedโone that honored their growth, flaws, and contributions to the story. Imagine a finale where alliances truly shifted, betrayals hit harder, and the Iron Throneโs fate felt more organic to the story. Perhaps even an ending that left the power fragmented across the kingdoms, reflecting the showโs earlier themes of moral complexity and the consequences of ambition.
Itโs no wonder so many of us signed that petition to remake the last seasonโIโd sign it a hundred times over! Game of Thrones deserved better, and so did we as viewers.
What would be your spirit animal if you were to choose one?
I would want to be a dove who carries an air of peace and grace, effortlessly calming the storms around me. To represent purity and hope, and that mirrors the gentle strength in my soul. I want to move through life with quiet elegance, spreading a sense of renewal wherever I go. Like the dove, I want to remind others of the beauty in stillness and the promise of brighter days ahead.
