THIS ISN'T DIRECTED AT ANYBODY, PLEASE DON'T THINK THAT IT IS.

But people really do need to realize that when you're like... Insanely love-struck, you make excuses for your significant other's actions. Past or present.

It doesn't excuse what they've done. By any means. But sometimes love makes us blind to things that are obvious to others. It's a fact of life, really.

"Being in love can decrease our social judgement which means we are more willing to overlook bad habits."

Yes, it decreases judgement, but you can also not defend / excuse their actions if they are bad enough. Association does NOT equal endorsement, especially if you didn't know about anything they've done in the past. And being in the know also doesn't make you a bad person. We're human, we get defensive over people we care about, and we usually cling to people that fit that criteria.

I just wanted to point this out because psychology is a HUGE thing I'm interested in, and I felt the need to say something about this thing I've been researching.
