Vent u can respond ! I didn't know that your family was supposed to not be super hard on punishments so I was a bit confused when others would get their phones taken away while I was told I wasn't allowed to sleep
Being told your not allowed to sleep??? thats kinda slightly fucked up but i do believe that all families have different punishment methods and as long as its not actively hurting a child then you do uou
but not letting ur child sleep thats just kinda fucked up man hoping ur families at least nice and just have not very ethical punishments

This makes me very angry on anon's behalf. Sleep is a biological need, so if you're being told you're not allowed to sleep (at least at night) as a punishment, that is at least as abusive as not allowing you to eat as a punishment, and possibly a tactic to make you more vulnerable to manipulation through sleep deprivation.
That said, I tend to biased towards the child's viewpoint in these situations, so take that into account I guess
