oh joy, a chance to ramble! i was actually just thinking about this, so you're getting a fresh thought. ghostbusters (1984) was a pretty awesome film with a relatively interesting plot that i felt they could've expanded on more in the sequel. the old gods and such being brought back in the first was something i don't think i've really seen in another film as a concept, and even though they resolved that conflict fully in the movie, i would've liked to see at least a bit more about it in the second. at least a couple of mentions of what they had went through prior to the sequel? i would've killed to see egon bust out some more facts about the anomaly. it honestly felt a little lackluster in terms of plot to the first, but had all the rest of the good ghostbusters qualities... bit of a let-down and missed opportunity, i think. but i did like them both a lot!
