ok this time im gonna talk abt THE RIDDLER!!!!!!!!!!! because hes my favorite batman villain, and OBVIOUSLY hes a main character in fatal fears.

there is TWO RIDDLERS in fatal fears.

the first is edward nygma. orange hair, flashy green suit, bowler hat and cane, question marks everywhere. your classic riddler, wants to outwit the bat. hes the father of eveline nygma. (thats the name of enigma in this au)

hes around the same age as bruce, doesnt really blame him for causing the apocalypse because he insists it must be something else. due to being a similar age to bruce, he got eveline pretty young. so its like a clem and aj situation

he starts off veryy riddlery, but gets reformed and goes from villain to hero because he doesnt want eveline to be coo coo crazy. detective riddler arc!!... not really. the name riddler gets abandoned so hes just eddie

and thats when the second riddler comes in!! edelle nashton. edelle nashton is inspired by the riddler from batman 2022. shes a girl with brown hair, wears darker clothes, etc. she doesnt really care about riddles that much, but shes a copycat killer. aka modeled and inspired by the original riddler.

you can tell its her crimes because instead of planning elaborate puzzles with a few uh.. necessary kills.... she just goes straight for the kill and then leaves her little clues behind.

edelle instead goes through a fake hero to villain arc. shes always the villain, but bridget (or bruce whatever name you like) doesnt realize it until later. shes slightly younger than bridget.

edelle accompanies bridget through most of her adventure when shes in hiding, before bridget becomes the batman. edelle wants to kill bridget, because she figured out bridget is bruce, and blames her for the apocalypse. bridget doesnt really notice. not because shes dumb, she just hasnt interacted with a lot of people yet.

edelle and edward are not related, nor do the ever meet. she just kinda knows the name riddler, and edward is mad someone is "doing a shitty imitation of him" but is preoccupied with other things.

as for eveline she isnt really a riddler. she wants to be his sidekick for a bit as enigma but edward is like "NO!!!!!!!" so he stops being the riddler and she stops caring about it
