Do you think souma was homeschooled or did he attend a public school during elementary? In crossroads he says something along the lines of " Up until middle school I went to school adorned in Japanese clothes and on a horse", and that probably assumes he also attended elementary like that, but I honestly can't imagine that a family like his wouldn't take all primary education upon themselves, to further instill in him their beliefs and his duties, or all the traditional arts he's skilled in. Also, assuming he did like, 9 years in a public school, he maybe should've developed better social awareness than what he has as a high school freshman, because autism be damned he's not a stupid boy, he could've developed some masking as he has in the current era?
