How did you find this site? And if the answer is "retrospring", " the fediverse", "rentry" or "bundlrs", how did you find that? I'm interested in how people reach small sites like this in the first place.

I’m always on the look out for small sites especially ones that allow coding customization. My starting point was when I saw my friends using carrd which fascinated me, but didn’t hit the coding fix I wanted since it wasn’t real coding unless I paid a subscription. (I didn’t want to pay for that) Awhile later I discovered Spacehey which I respected for recreating MySpace and it did help dip my toes into some proper coding. Meanwhile my friends were using Rentry which I didn’t think of using at first, but eventually I came around to it just to make some basic simplistic bios for myself using themes of my interest. Rentry is just a fun side thing for me when I don’t want to do a lot, my main site where I truly enjoy coding on is Neocities with how you can do truly ANYTHING on it. Eventually that lead me to 123Guestbook since I wanted a widget on my neocities where folks could ask me questions or send me a message which resulted in me looking for back up sites in case 123Guestbook shut down or anything (spoiler alert: it did) which I found something that’s basically 123Guestbook to replace my widget being atabook. On that journey however I did find Retrospring which felt like a good alternative for those who didn’t want to write something on a guestbook for whatever reason. (I noticed especially folks on Rentry prefer leaving messages on Retrospring instead of guestbook) Now Retrospring shutting down causing me turning to here as my friends and A LOT of rentry folks have turned to this site for that very reason.
Retro spring, i found retro spring on fandom wiki and decided to zign up
retrospring, which i found via Twitter since many people were using it as an alternative to curiouscat
✦ Mr. Oddity found it through a retrospring user -- dont remember the exact context ;; and before that he found retrospring through tumblrs rentry / graphics editing community .. <-- a cesspit of a community by thee way QQ
I found mine through one of my friends discord bios and thought "that's cute let me try it"
found rentry and bundlrs through twitter (pjsktwt……………………….), decided i like bundlrs more, get into decorating in like may, get into community kind of in like. i forgot, made retrospring at the same time for twitter, retrospring shutting down next year, made strawpage for twitter, find neospring while looking for urls to claim on rentry i think, yayyy opportunity to make friends
So from 2017-2021 I was a huge carrd user to the point of having a carrd with html in it one point (thanks Jude for letting me use ur carrd pro back then). Around 2021 rentry started picking up on Twitter back when I was rlly online on that site so I used started using it a bit but it wasn’t anything like “good” urls or amazing editing stuff. I didn’t rlly think much on rentry but one day when I was checking my ex gf’s friends’s insta acc in 2023 to make sure I blocked him (I forgot to) I saw he had a bundles url so I decided to hop on the band wagon of hoarding/trading. Cared a bit more about rentry when Matt got the site and introduced the claim system cuz finally good urls for once tho I’ll always ALWAYS prefer bundlrs (bundlrs >>> rentry sorgy). So ofc everyone on bundlrs site was using retrospring for stuff like anon trades and all that so I made an acc on there around December. Ofc my friend started to work on Neospring when the announcement for Retrospring’s shutdown was announced. Officially the first member of this site besides Spark and first admin added on, very much love this site and can’t wait to see how it grows <333
my boyfriend at the time told me i should totes totes get a good username before they all run out (on retrospring..) so i did!!! i got @ ryo (unused now, by the way, sorrrryyy). and then never came back to. until i.. did, obviously, because i saw aesthetic profiles and wanted to make one. which i did. it was very ugly and i went by mavice it was pretty bad. but i had a cute @ (streamer...) and then!! u were there for the rest, mostly!
in 2023 i got into rentry really heavily & used pinterest alot for inspo . on pinterest , i found ‘sntry inspo’, thus leading to me finding stellular . from stellular i found retrospring & when retrospring was shutting down angel posted about their (i forgot their prns) friend working on a remake of retrospring (neospring, at the time sparkler) & i waited till it dropped. thus, i found neospring

Mostly by looking through the rentries of someone really cool I know. I didn't make an account immediately but I tried out asking her stuff on her page for a while cuz I'm usually too shy to talk to her on Discord. Now I'm here with my own account ^^
