I love Doom (1993), and its modding community which is easily the best I've had the pleasure of being involved in! Doom itself is much more simple, fast paced, and arcade-y than other FPSes, which is what makes it my favorite. Later FPS games tend to be more slow and atmospheric with complex stories. Thanks to the game being made open-source in the late 90s, the engine has been updated by the community to be capable of just about anything, which is how we got total conversions like Sonic Robo Blast 2 and Adventures of Square, and oddball mods like MyHouse. But I personally prefer when mods stick to the FPS gameplay and bring a new aesthetic, like the beautiful Japanese Community Project, Ancient Aliens, Struggle, Auger;Zenith, and Eternal Doom (not to be confused with Doom Eternal). Compared to most other games, Doom's developers give their modders a lot more respect, including bringing on community members to make official expansions for the game, both back in the 90s and as recently as this year.

There's a compilation of all of the 90s Doom games that is very cheap on Steam, and if you'd rather not pay, you can download the game engine for free (using a source port like DSDA-Doom) and combine it with Freedoom, a fan game with identical gameplay that is compatible with most Doom mods. It's a must play IMO.

i really like being hyperfixated on typology alongside some of my other interests because its so easy to apply.... im hyperfixiated on utmv and typology currently so its really fun to create essays on like what MBTIs certain characters are and why each function applies. im most well versed in MBTI but researching other systems is so fun..... im also interested in shameless and house md currently so researching them while im watching the show is so fun. like "oh what a display of Ti" i am such a nerd. a few days ago my friends woke me up and started telling me how a certain character was ISTP 8w9 and how they learnt from me + my essays and i was like OH... OK... THANK YOU.... MY HEART SENDS YOU SO MUCH LOVE......

not exactly a dump about the media itself just on how im enjoying myself

Computers and music.

Did you know that in JS alert((![]+[])[+!![]]) does the same as alert("a")? This is why JSFsck works, actually.
Did you know that the magic number for JPEG is 0xFF 0xD8 0xFF?
Did you know that even though FT2 was abandoned by its original creators, it is still maintained by its users?
Did you know that there can only be 2 different hexatonic scales? Even though you can start either from any note, all the rest will be enharmonic with either of these 2.
Did you know that MS-DOS is still included in Windows for the sole purpose of making boot disks?
Did you know that the first programmer was a woman? I am talking about Ada Lovelace.
Did you know that the Internet was originally made in the 70s? It started as Arpanet, which, surprisingly, still exists.
Did you know that most violin concertos are made in D major? That is because D major is the easiest key for a violinist to play.

Fun fact #1: There are more computers than people in my house. Fun fact #2: I play the piano and am also a good singer. Oh, and also a decent composer. Fun fact #3: I can draw quite well, but am way too lazy to do so.

I was not sure which one to choose, so I'll just talk about Anubis the Egyptian deity.

Anubis has been a deity of interest since I was like, 6 years old, he just kinda comes and goes in my head over the years. Now, Anubis had several roles, and when referenced in most media, he's shown as a 𝗴𝗼𝗱 of 𝗺𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻/𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 rites and an 𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿 in the 𝗗𝘂𝗮𝘁/𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱. Weighing hearts/souls before accepting in to the afterlife, that's one of his major roles for sure.

However, Anubis is also a 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗯𝘀/𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀, and there's even of story of him taking Set's skin/coat for attempting to desecrate Osiris' body. Anubis is also a 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹𝘀 (to the Greeks, he'd be classified as a 𝗽𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗺𝗽) and he helps the deceased crossover. Another deity that guides souls to the 𝗗𝘂𝗮𝘁/𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 is actually Hathor, though she doesn't have the same strong connections to the afterlife as Anubis does.

I'm not really an expert on this, it's just a topic that comes and goes. I'm also not very good at explaining stuff so I apologize. I frequently visited pages in the Egyptian books I had when I was younger that talked about mummification and other little facts that caught my eye. It's too bad I'm not great at remembering, since it's been about 12 years since then. ^^;
