It's a recorder. It's meant to teach you patience, timing, when and when not to use more or less power, and pitch. Try the oboe or the drums. The musician pool needs a lot more drummers....and bassists. Be a bassist. Be a real family embarassment like the rest of us😂
If you can't make moderate progress by 9 years of age what exactly will you do for the rest of your life? When i was 9 I had already achieved grade 7 piano and recorder and I was invited to play at the kremlin. And here you are complaining that you can't even play recorder.
