The WORST game you've ever played?

I was really, really disappointed with Dying Light 2, lol. I've played games that're worse on a technical level but that one was personal because I loved DL:1.

Bad story, bad gameplay.

Hope DL: The Beast is better.

You play D&D?

Nah, closest I've come is CRPGs like Baldur's Gate 3 and Jagged Alliance. I'm generally not a fantasy guy, and I have an issue where I think of it as theater and not as a numbers crunchy tabletop game.

Then when I say I'm not a fantasy guy every person is like "well what about this system or this system" with games that look half baked or settings that aren't interesting, so I guess you can't just reskin D&D to work for a modern zombies thing or anything like that.

I'm coming around to thinking about it as a board game and not make believe, but my least favorite part of Baldur's Gate was the combat, and D&D seems mostly combat, lol. Seen a group fight like, 4 dudes and it took several hours which just feels glacially slow. I did like Jagged Alliance a bit more but I just jive more with the setting.

I've been trying for like 7 years to like tabletop games but it just might not be for me tbh, I have like 20 reasons to dislike it and 5 to like it. Plus I'm in a weird situation where I've enjoyed the idea of tabletop but I've never actually gotten to play. So 7 years of being vaguely interested with no playtime LOL

Are you into comics or manga?

I've read a few but I can't say I keep up with The Scene, yknow.

Really enjoyed The Walking Dead for comics, but when it comes to Marvel and DC I just see the occasional stories here and there about my favorites. I can't say they really stick.

For Manga I really liked Gunsmith Cats, besides the parts that had Goldie. Goldie sucks. Really loved the art though.

What is the lore you made that your the proudest of?

I think MK security is fun, and I like some of the Sci-Fi elements I've written for the world.

Favorite desert?

Some people might say the Sahara but I'm a fan of the Rub' al Khali as featured in Uncharted 3. Cooler name.

top 5 zombie related media?

  1. Resident Evil... Early Resident Evil at least. Nothing beats the Raccoon City era of that series, nothing even comes close. So wildly iconic.

  2. The Walking Dead. Love the comic book, enjoyed most of the show, and the games were also good even if Season 1 of Telltale's take on it was 10x better than any other season from them.

  3. The Last of Us. I get why opinion has turned on TLOU over time from what I've seen, but that first game is just great. I like the TV show a lot.

  4. World War Z Book: I don't read a lot but man I really loved that audiobook.

  5. Dead Rising: I really love Dead Rising but it doesn't beat the other ones here for me as a whole, but that first game is perfect.

  6. Project Zomboid: I believe this will be the ultimate zombie survival simulator...in about 10 years when it's all wrapped up, lol.

I'm interested in commissioning you but I don't see any price refs, is that something you decide on a per-commission basis?

At the moment I'm leaning heavily towards YCHs, which have been $110 for Color and $210 for shading.

If someone REALLY wanted a fully custom commission anyways, it'd be triple the price ($330 / $630)

Either way it's just the one price, I don't charge for extra characters and the like, it's just a Yes / No on the idea.

would you rather watch a movie or eat two hotdogs

I'd rather eat two hot dogs and chat with a friend, for whom I have purchased, an additional two hot dogs.

I feel Michael would be a huge wild west nerd

A bit, I've actually shown Wallace and Sabrina at a wild west thing though, so that's fun.

Where did you get the inspiration for your characters from?

For the initial two, Mike and Steph, I got inspired by a pornhub video, because I just wanted a couple to practice NSFW with. Then over time I started doing more with them.

Mike is inspired by Barney Calhoun from Half Life 2 Steph is inspired by Leela from Futurama Chris and Tara inspired by general Mean Girl x Pushover Boy shipping tropes. Etc. etc.

I'd have to really drill down on each of them to give more concrete inspirations but I tend not to think about them that hard these days, lol

You've been an active artist for a while so has there been any traits or lore you've given to a character that you later decided you didn't like? I remember you used to have some characters be in an open relationship but changed it.

Oh yeah, plenty.

I cut Mike / Steph / Annabelle's threesome, found it weird.

Cut Ken, couldn't find a way to like him so I made Annabelle single again.

Broke up the Max / Jack / Tina / Emily open poly group in story, didn't care for it. It's Max x Emily and Jack x Tina now.

Cut Chris and Juliet having a more adversarial relationship.

Chris and Tara were hired more amicably by Chetska than the initial comic draft.

Mike's mom was dead, then wheelchair bound, then now she has bionic legs.

Cut and sold The Plant Program.

Stephanie and Lucas still play h-games on their computers I just haven't drawn it in years, that's not cut.

If I really dug in there I could probably find more but there's plenty lmao

Do you prefer sci-fi or fantasy?

Sci-fi. I'd rather watch Star Trek than Game of Thrones, and I've seen neither. Mostly I prefer modern day stuff that's only slightly in the future or past, and zombies.

If there's no guns, that's usually too far back, and if we've left the galaxy, that's usually too far forward.

What's with the Burger Queen character? Am I missing a joke or something?

She's the mascot for a restaurant chain in my character's universe. It's just OC bullshit, don't worry about it, lol

jamesab 1732928216873
anonymous 1732927177124

You have a very action packed universe but mainly draw lewd art. Have you ever considered drawing more action based comics?

Not extensively, I've dabbled in action, but I prefer drawing pornography.

When it comes to comics, I tell stories through short snippets, so whichever genre it is, it's what I can manage lol.

jamesab 1732927744894
anonymous 1732926389422

How did you first build your audience? And what age did you start? If you only wanna answer one I understand lol

I built the audience by doing fanart of artists characters and popular properties, I was 15, which was in 2012.

Fanart for views, Commissions for money, Personal Art for fun, lol

2012 is crazy to think about, Resident Evil 6 released then, crazy.
