these are basically spoilers if you haven’t read the fic so i hope you’re okay with that! but basically, what breaks felix’s fever isn’t seungmin himself, but their dynamic/bond together. in my head, what felix desires is physical intimacy with someone who he loves that loves him in return. he does NOT need a romantic element for his fever to be broken, he just needs to be physically intimate with someone who deeply loves him. that’s why seungmin is able to break his fever (but also why seungmin’s fever cannot be broken by felix, because seungmin needs a very specific type of emotional intimacy from one person). anyone in skz could have broken felix’s fever, seungmin just happened to be the first one there to do so. but of course, by the time chan arrives felix and seungmin are hiding this knowledge, because felix decides to use the pollen as a way to get chan to be honest with him (and himself.) no one ever tells chan, they keep the fact that seungmin and felix were intimate as a secret forever imo!

usually when im writing, there will be like a key scene of narrative, dialogue, or something to that effect that i just HAVE to get to and that desire to write towards that scene is usually what inspires me to keep writing! i don't think too deeply about plot off the bat bc whenever i do i end up never being able to write the actual fic. i'm a bit more accustomed to flying by the seat of my pants with like quick "plot beats" added as i get into a rhythm, but rarely do i fully flesh out/plot anything before writing bc that ends up killing my vibe

i think its a yes & no! they're HUGE in korea like both versions of the ship were in the top 10 or something on korean ao3 LOLLL. but outside of that it might not "feel" like one bc it isnt the most popular ship internationally! i think its also possible for there to be multiple govt assigned ships that cater to the different fanbases in different countries which is extremelyyyyyy fascinating to me. i like to see how the divide between domestic and intl fandom when it comes to what ships are favorites

i like to read seungchan but i haven't found the right angle that works for me with the way my brain builds plots/themes. for the reverse--i want to write seungjin SOOO badly but i havent yet bc nothing feels good enough for me lol

i think 'under-appreciated' is an entirely subjective pov and it might differ for everyone because we all have varied fandom experiences. no pairing is under-appreciated if you have even one batshit insane mutual who is giving that ship the time of day!

I AGREE WITH YOU ON THIS i did see that interview and i believe he said his dance teacher encouraged him to go too?? so it wasn't just felix himself but also someone around him that he trusted BUT STILL. completely impulsive decision to just show up to korea like the time frame was insanely SHORT. tbh i feel like a lot of times it really isn't focalized how brand new to the enviroment of being an idol and also living in korea was for him, like it must have been terrifying honestly esp bc he didnt really speak the language, but yet he was still so steadfast and determined to achieve his goal of being a star:) like not only is felix a little impulsive i see him as someone extremely ambitious--but that undercurrent of diehard ambition is very much glossed over because of a lot of other factors he has, like his genial nature, his effusiveness, etc. i think it is really fun to focus on felix being relentless in a way a lot of the rest of the members are (namely seungmin in my honest opinion) but how he's just SO good at keeping that side of himself under wraps through these other methods where you can kind of not see how persistent and stubborn he is about stuff unless you're really looking
