allow me to go on a tangent: I can say for a fact that a good majority of us writers enjoy writing fluffy/angst fics with plot. and at least for me, since I can really only speak for myself, it takes much longer to write and complete said fics and push it out to an audience that might not be as accepting as we hope. because truth be told, pwp fics get a lot more love and attention (I mean, look at the top otp true fics under the tag, it’ll speak for itself). even though we write for ourselves, it’s difficult not to feel swayed by lower kudos, comments or hits than we would’ve liked, which in turn could eventually drive us to say “fuck it, i’ll just churn out a quick porn fic. takes less effort and more people like it” not to say porn fics are low effort at all, but you understand the comparison I hope.

hi, i do appreciate your message and i see where you’re coming from but i think you’re misunderstanding me. this isn’t supposed to be an us vs them situation at all and i’m kind of over it being conflated as such. what i tweeted was mainly directed at people who, prior to this, have already proven that they hold strange resentment towards gw over a ship. as you’ve said yourself people have been unfair to us for several reasons - this isn’t an isolated incident, context is important. it’s not even that i’m seeing gyubseokers upset, which they’re allowed to be while respecting the other party (gw), i’m seeing the usual suspects drone on and on about three pictures, calling the company cruel and pushing a fanservice agenda, which all boils down to how many people undermine mattwook’s real life friendship… like every other day lmfao. it’s less about the standing order and more about how devastated a lot of them are acting when in reality they couldn’t give less of a fuck about it, they’re just unloading their hate for us, the ship, and by proxy gw himself. i’ll honestly laugh when their next group picture is back on regularly scheduled programming and all of these people showed their asses for no reason. but no one ever gives a fuck because geonmaeters have to suck it up for the sake of protecting a reputation that was already in hell since we’ve been blamed for everything even when we were a population of 5, maybe 10 people. we’re just tired that’s all, i think that’s fair to say.
