Hello hello! :DD tbh I would love to yap more about different doruan pairings too (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

in fact i'm pretty sure i used to talk about anzu ships more openly (headcanons, aus, fic summaries etc.), but i guess as my account grew in follower numbers I felt too intimidated since so many people would pay attention to what I say (⸝⸝⸝╺﹏╺⸝⸝⸝) i've been told by a bunch of people to just make a priv already but i never did lol tbh i hope i can find it in me to yap more about doruan, i really like it and i'm tired feeling pushed into a corner by watchful eyes and doruan deniers/erasers, and i do gotta be the change i want to see in the world if i want something to change :DD

i kinda tried to express my anzu-related ideas through my art now, which dooms me even more because not only do i not draw doruan but i also draw anzu like once a month (although i do have plenty of wips that never see the light of day) OTL plus I do have a lot of doruan related rambles on my saved tweets like tier lists, gushing about a bunch of scenes, and different au ideas so hopefully i can get around to actually posting them here or on bsky.

somewhat related side tangent, but i think a lot of it has something to do with the changes in my perspective over the years as someone who liked anzu for this long. i remember a certain tweet that really stuck out to me, which was about how someone was annoyed that there was a lot of doruan content by fans, but not as much of anzu herself. when i saw it i disagreed in my mind of course, but ever since then i wanted to focus more on anzu herself rather than anzu with the idols, if that makes sense? i know that's really silly since enjoying anzu's pairings means being able to celebrate those dynamics she has with the cast, but i guess internally it's my way of paying attention to anzu first and foremost. i guess that's why the ship related rambles are few and far between besides from story reactions, which is ironic considering that lifting up anzu's unique relationship with the idols is what i should be doing in order to spread that love to others ૮(˶ㅠ︿ㅠ)ა i could be doing a lot more to help people realize why a lot of doruan pairings are so good to begin with, which is definitely a shortcoming of mine

let me just say that my thoughts always circle around trick5tar, ibaanzu, madaanzu, kaoanzu, suzuanzu, negianzu, and hinaanzu so everyone better thank me for being a coward or i would be the most annoying anzu liker on the planet the enstarries would hate me

I think that's a very wonderful project of yours :DD I wish you the best of luck in making happen! It does sound very ambitious though, considering the material you'll be working with

Keeping track of everything Anzu and Ten-kun related in stories is already heard enough as is (even I'm nowhere near complete in terms of knowledgeable on everything about anzu across all the stories) and I'm curious about what story you'll give it. While I'm both interested and excited to know what you'll do with that, I just hope you aren't biting more than what you can chew you know o(╥﹏╥)o

Theres also things you might need to note in tackling their story, like how most of Anzu and Ten-kun's familial situation is still unclear besides hints we've gotten from the characters (close as kids, complicated family situation, he was distant in ES! but cares for his sister and is curious about her in EG! etc.).

There's also a really cool timeline interpretation by @ATMforTKS that I myself have started to internalize when I read stuff from EG and ES that comes from staff comments about the two games being in different world lines, meaning that events in either games shouldn't be automatically considered as a canon event in the same world. Although personally while I can acknowledge that both games are in different world lines, I do still consider some events as occurring in both worlds, especially most things involving anzu in the present day since information from EG doesn't contradict itself in a way hurts reading the text too much, but it does account for anything their past that one might raise an eyebrow on (things like the differences in the two game's setting and characters, anzu's incredible feats during her stay in Kimisaki, circumstances about Ten-kun's etc). Of course you're very much free to take both games as is, they don't really hurt each other continuity wise too much unless you're very particular or nitpicky about those details

Plus, as much as I try to hype up Ten-kun because of my admiration of him obtaining his own agency and becoming his own person independent of the player by the end of his game, it still doesn't change the fact that he's still much more of a blank slate than anzu is. it sort of helps that both siblings are described as similar to each other in terms of behavior, but there's still a lot more information on anzu that can be used to help write her character in a fun yet canon-compliant way, while much more information would have to be interpreted for ten-kun. but also i'm not gonna pretend i read a lot of engirls so it's possible i missed his characterization while reading stuff (·•᷄‎𐃷•᷅ )

I also don't know (or in this case, curious to know what you'll do) how their stories can be told without straight up just speeding through their respective stories hahaha too many things happen in different times that i can imagine you'll have to combine different events like what the anime had to do. and making your project a musical sounds super tough! i don't know know a lot about making music but i do know it's a lot of work and creativity so you have all my respect if you could pull it off

i think it's admirable that you want to tackle a rewrite of the 4piece arc, and i hope you have fun with that :)) i'm gonna be honest and say that i'm very behind in reading the stories of that arc so i don't want to comment on how much it does for anzu's character or what can be changed in the story. don't know if you mean you'll combine that rewrite with your current project or if it'll be a separate one (since both seems like it'll have a completely different cast i think) so i just hope you'll keep your plans realistic and manageable

Anzu is usually associated with pink, and it's most likely her favorite color too! most of the stuff she owns that we see across different enstars media are pink items (pink cardigan, pink phone case, pink pens, pink raincoat, pink umbrella, pink notebooks, pink lunchbox etc.). well pink is the girl color and most joseimuke mcs are associated with pink so that's understandable :DD

as a bonus, while not a favorite color, anzu is also associated with red :DD that's because most of her cameo outfits consists of her wearing a red outfit (the red dress in the subaru card meant to represent her, her miko attire, her red riding hood costume) and in a valentines day line by keito he says that anzu looks really good with red ദ്ദി ( ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ )

Another bonus color associated with Anzu is white! that's because as the mc, she's a "white canvas" for the players who want to project onto her in the real world, and is one in canon as well being a new producer who knows nothing but is full of potential at the start of the game's story (although I've heard people associate that image with more with Tomoya since that fits his character's story). an old post I love to reminisce about was one someone made about how the four colors of the trickstar members hokuto-blue subaru-orange makoto-green and mao-magenta are found diagonally from each other, with white in the center that can be interpreted as anzu too :)) (wow trick5tar so perfect)

for Tenn-kun, I actually don't know much about /him/ specifically to be able to answer that, nor am I fully deep into the engirls fandom to be able to tell what the fans associated with him (ㅠ﹏ㅠ) I tried reverse-searching anything involving color with him, to no avail but maybe my research was just insufficient, I'm sorry!

for my personal opinion though, in my mind i associate him with white much more than i do with anzu, due to most of his cameos being him in his white polo and black pants so he's always seen in plain white, which helps further emphasize how much of a blank slate he is in my eyes (and well he is honestly a way more of a self-insert protagonist than his sister)

I guess it's notable that that in one his cameos in the EnGirls 4komas, he was wearing blue pajamas, so that's something I guess (ᵕ—ᴗ—) ngl i would like to associate tenkousei-kun with blue the most more than white since most households appropriately assign pink and blue to siblings (especially when they are twins or two opposite sex)

if I missed anything in engirls about tenkousei-kun's favorite color, i'd love to know that too if someone else out there knows :DD i'm skeptical that they'd even mention anything for him specifically but you never know right (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)
