hi mika, i just read crossroad and now I'm really confused. people say that all the eccentrics had an execution except for Natsume. But I don't think Rei ever really had an execution, if anything he won in this event. unless you count Eichi taking his place as student council president, but i don't think Rei ever cared for being president anyway? All the other eccentrics got defeated on stage but Rei won so i don't get it? What was Rei's execution?

our good sir rei sakuma never got a standard stage execution like shu, kanata, and wataru because they decided it would be too difficult for them to achieve!

one of the biggest challenges was, it was difficult to ever get rei to appear on any stage other than at the underground live house. from the get go, since he was considered dangerous, they had to find a way to rid of him through unconventional means; keito tried to eliminate him early on prior to the war with his scheme in Crossroad (which failed), and ex-fine attempted to bring at least rei on-stage for their debut live to win against him simply through numbers. rei essentially outsmarted them each time, or he found an excuse to not go on stage.

on top of it all; rei sakuma is SO beloved, SO powerful, if he actually stood on stage alongside ex-fine, honest to god he could've probably beat them. especially after the events in Crossroad, where rei was able to manipulate the situation so all those in the audience were on his side, it was essentially deemed very risky.

that is why eichi figured the easiest way to beat him was to get him as far as he could away from the war. that way he was both distanced from his fans in yumenosaki, and unable to intervene with ex-fine if he chose for. eichi wore him thin and made him too weak to take any other step; that was his "execution"!
