I think over the years ive improved at narrowing down what aspects of a piece actually need detail and which can be left more vague. I think my overall detail economy has become more efficient in this regard. Cuz i'd say when i was younger i would stress so much over tiny, tiny details that frankly, are barely noticeable. Now i prefer to work in broader strokes, and its made the process more enjoyable.
