random but have u noticed how there's like a significant (at least from my perspective) portion of zeroses who call hanbin bi or straight bc they view him as more masculine or engaging in gf stan fan service (something most male idols do - and also likely them wanting him and viewing him as the perfect, attractive guy) etc etc 😭 something about it really annoys me like i know it's not like he's come out or his sexuality is confirmed so maybe i'm being hypocritical but it's the reasoning that these ppl clearly have. idk, ever since circa january 2023 when i was viewing his dance battles from that one day he put on that ugly patterned shirt and made history by smacking that girl's ass, getting his hair pulled and waacking to his heart's content i just couldn't picture him being attracted to women all that easily 😭😭😭 the way these ppl are so hellbent on it feels icky IDK again i feel like a hypocrite bc i was gonna say it's stereotypes even tho i mentioned the ass smacking thing but again, i can't even imagine a bisexual or straight man casually doing that in a non-sexual way to a woman 🤷♀️ i've seen these ppl say that there's more straight male waackers than ppl would expect and blah blah blah but i'm stilllllllll not seeing that, it all just feels so weird
oh yeah this has been happening ever since predebut lol, i think it's because a) hanbin no longer waacks so people can just easily ignore his old dancing videos or separate the two hanbins very clearly with the Gay Hanbin being the Old Hanbin, and b) hanbin is like the ideal man lol a lot of zeroses definitely see him as the "ideal boyfriend" and therefore can't imagine or don't want him to imagine as gay. now contrast that to hao's image in the fandom where he's the designated "pretty princess" (which comes with its own problems but w/e) and how his past is a lot less easy to explain away...and there you have it lol
