not to be insane but i feel like he’s playing coy because this is the new version of “we shouldn’t…” he’s latched onto now that he can’t play the forbidden age gap card the way he used to be able to. like he’s not straight edge but he’s still playing at rejection even with like societal expectations for binge drinking. like he’ll be all demure like nooo he has to be responsible (even though he can’t be the DD because he failed his license test) (that’s such a huge moe point btw i still can’t believe he did that i know he passed the second time and got his permit but god. let me teach you how to put it in park baby boy. but i digress)

but well if you keep insisting that he have a drink then i guess he has to. for you. and well now you need to take responsibility for how he acts when he’s drunk because he tooootally wouldn’t have had anything if you didn’t ask him to. he toootally usually doesn’t drink, he doesn’t know what he gets like, for sure, he was nervous, but you promised to take care of him so now you simply have to take care of him no matter what that entails
