say more on hanbin repression i am so curious
i think it's very intentional on his part i don't think he is naturally prone to repression slash suppression i think he just found something (idolhood) that he prioritized more than his full forward-facing authenticity. i say this very clinically with absolutely no judgement; we all do it? i pick and choose which parts of myself are appropriate for certain situations and amplify those while suppressing those i deem inappropriate. the difference is that idolhood isn't really a job you clock out from, you're always exposed to the pins and needles of public opinion, expected to livestream practice create etc during your downtime. so yes it is a problem for all idols but i think that hanbin feels he has more to lose. the industry isn't ready for a man whose expression of his sexuality isn't limited to what is attractive to a fanbase. i'm not sure i answered your question at all, everything he does as an idol is just very intentional
