Damsel & Darling come from my reclamation of my femininity, tenderness, vulnerability ( not intwined with the 1st 02 ), & allowing myself to love & be loved. I'm afflicted with the treacherous Eldest Sister Syndrome, of which I couldn't afford to be a Damsel-in-Distress in any form. I cannot ask for help nor should I walk a needle path, even if the treasure on the other end is more gratifying. However, & I don't remember how I learned this, perhaps being a Damsel isn't always a bad thing. It certainly saves energy when a hero comes to my rescue.

Another reason for Darling, which is a lot less poetic, is that I used to read so many yandere/reader stories that 01 of my portraits is a Y/n ( insert clown makeup ) from a story I shan't reveal. My shame has significantly diminished now, but since the anatomy of Y/n is a colouring book, I figured that I might as well use a name, rather than blatantly admit who she is. Well, darling is a term used in the yancore community to refer to a person of obsession, so to stay true to the source material, I thought it's a perfect fit.
