If not, I’m really curious— you surely know OF the French Revolution, right? Everyone’s heard of it?
So, could you guess? Or make an educated assumption?
Why exactly did it happen? —
(Of course theres no one answer, I’m just really curious… likely something like ‘war’ right?)

From what I remember: during an economic recession that was blamed on war debt, the royals continued to live in extreme luxury, while the middle class was shrinking. This led to civil unrest and severe polarization between the three "estates" of the legislature. Eventually leading to a violent overthrow of the royal family, in which King Louis was stripped of his status and beheaded, followed by many other aristocrats, and a complete reworking of France's political system to favor the middle class rather than the aristocracy.
