Do y'all have any internet terms that make you wanna rip your hair out?

I hate how Discord calls its communities "servers" when they're all hosted on the same few servers. I know it's meant to call back to IRC servers that often focused on channels with a specific theme, but I feel as though I'm the only Discord user who knows that.
I swear I've seen a similar misuse of the term "instance" (meaning: a copy of a piece of software running on a server). But I can't remember what it was.
I think there might be a different meaning of the word "hosted" that no one has defined to me yet, based on the fact that I confused someone else on this site a couple days ago by using it (correctly) to mean "stored on a server and publiclt accessible". Whatever it means, I hate it too.
Dear social media companies: stop overloading technical terms that already exist!
you already said this but i agree with people using dumb/childish words to describe crimes, if the words gey censored just don't say them and think of a more appropriate way to say it π i don't wanna hear anything more about people getting "unalived"
Personally, for me, I hate it when people say "unalive" or "grape". This isn't tiktok, use the fucking words. Are we in 4th grade? Will you get punished for saying "a serial murderer killed a dude?"
If news articles were like that, y'all would have a fucking riot.
