OK SO LIKE it takes place in the Edo period in Japan where there were like samurai n shit. And these ailens names Amanto (Sky People) like took over and beat the Shogun so he's like at their mercy nd stuff. A man named Gintoki Sakata is a freelancer and him, Kagura, and Shinpachi Shimura,live their lives working a job called Odd Jobs where they basically do anything for money. They have a LOT of refs to other animes and other things its really funny too !!
