very timely conversation! let's have it! i'm personally not savvy enough about this stuff so i'd actually love to hear ppl's opinions on this.
first of all i have a question, who's styling him rn and is it the ppl who styled him for the promo of blossom? i do remember that hyemi (stylist_hmm if that's still her @?) posted about not being able to work with him for a while a few months ago, is that still a thing? usually when ppl post his styling team's stories on twitter they crop out the user and i don't go looking so i'm a bit out of the loop with all of this...

either way, the good since he's been gone out of sm:

1. they've been doing a great job with the fit of his suits
   - exhibit a (i know he was still officially under sm but i'm still pretty sure he was alr being handled by css at the time, this was like 2 weeks before his contract's end)

2. there's one type of fit that i absolutely ADORE on him that i'd been mourning since PATHCODE!!! it's the flowy/baggy shirt tucked into pants one, i just love how this looks on him no matter the mood, whether it's
   

• the jimmy look with a simple tshirt tucked into jeans => THIS i regret we did not see more of during the promo, it would have been perfect for the seasons for example
  
• no prepare one, i don't have a better screenshot but you know the one, very simple, a bit on the classic nerdy side
• this might be an unpopular opinion? the bloom outfits especially on the days he had a tie and baggier pants
  in a way it's quite tough to dress male idols esp when like kyungsoo they're not statuesque and/or not very into fashion and/or not huge on ceptual stuff (not to mention how tacky these can end up looking), but i feel like this kind of simple outfit can be declined quite interestingly and fit with his overall style, especially when accessorized well (see below). there's been other variations he's worn previously although not quite often enough.
  

all in all that's been pretty consistent, he's been dressing like that most of the time hasn't he? except there's 3 issues :

1. the accessories and details!! when you do simple outfits like this, accessorizing them really brings them to the next level and the issue with most of his appearances on tv/internet shows is for some reason that gets thrown out of the window? the belt/shoes for the jimmy outfit, the open button and watch for the no prepare one. why is it that when he goes on shows there's no attention on those? it's always just white sneakers and not much more thought put into the outfits.
   
2. the fucking jackets... and from what i'm getting this + their repeat is what has been cristallizing most of the anger anyway hasn't it ⚰️ i don't even mind the brown, but i do not get why they're always super basic or straight up UGLY, which kinda just defeats the purpose and unbalances the fit underneath. 🚶‍♀️
