See? Even Todd who knows them and is familiar with their dynamic was uncomfortable, why is that?
Ilya was asking Natalie to marry him ffs and Todd didn't even care because he knew Natalie would never have anything to do with him again, but David he was always threatened by because it's not normal for two people of the opposite sex to be so close

natalie literally said she'd marry ilya if she wasn't dating todd (while she was dating todd) + last year this time she picked ilya over david as to who she would rather be with.
crazy to get mad over a gift tho? d & n are bestfriends after all, he knew what he was getting into when he started to date her. sometimes i feel like todd had little to no control over the relationship lol. feels like he wanted david to back off a little bit but he couldn't say anything because again, he knew beforehand what david and natalies dynamic was.
