It's definitely very hypocritical. The adults involved need to learn what grooming even means. I hope they realize throwing around false information like that to someone whos vulnerable is very harmful. And them knowing that the person made a statement with a very harmful claim and letting it happen is? Very immature of them. I hope you and that person are able to situate this without false influence and get these accusations off of the internet
