I want to say I’ve gotten some great book recs from booktok so I’m not shitting on it but I know who to take recs from. If someone says that either is their favorite I’m scrolling so fast

So have I!!! It really comes down to personal preference and knowing where to find more of what you like. But as for “booktok books” a lot of those, whether we like them or not, have a certain kind of association is more or less my point!
