Im in sped and i just NEED to share w someone that i absolutely fucking hate how the kids with behaviour issues get placed with the neurodivergent (and specifically autistic) kids. Like the kids will just get bullied and sometimes not realise it, i get theyre in sped bc they literally cant go anywhere else but atleast put them in another class then
OMG FR GOD. I used to work in a daycare last year and tbh it's mostly the adults fault for not taking much care of the children. Teachers or even the childcare worked dont pay much attention to each child's need, some are even un diagnosed and yet they just ignore as "they just don't know how to talk" or worse "they're just playing!". I love how you brought this topic up, it always annoyed me when working

The worse part is that most autistic kids are undiagnosed yet so they don't even understand what's going on or even why the react in such way
ITS SO FRUSTRATING, the teachers also dont do anything 99% of the time because 'they cant change their behaviour', like the amount of times ive seen those type of kids be fake interested in an autistic persons special interest and then laugh with their friends KNOWING the autistic person isnt aware that theyre being bullied is so fucking cruel, and the teachers just watch it happen
