It's always hard to tell what's actually uncommon in a fandom this big, especially since I try not to venture out too far into open waters. But I'd say 'Shu is a sex-repulsed dom and One Day, he and Mika are going to figure out nonsexual kink together' is, at the very least, pretty niche lmao

For something I haven't talked as much about already... I think in the time between 'Human Comedy' and 'Neverland', Shu had already come to terms with being in love with Mika and fully intended to tell Mika that and make their relationship explicitly romantic. And then he saw the kind of condition Mika was actually in living on his own, realized just how badly Mika was already struggling with his new role in Valkyrie and personal aspirations, and quietly decided on his own to put all that aside until Mika stabilized and gained more confidence.
