It has been a lot of making an active effort to work on my symptoms. For example when we first started speaking I would ignore him for hours if he said something I didn't like or I was very skittish around him (though it wasn't overtly at first) and I had to learn to verbalize when something like that happens so it doesn't leave him confused and upset about why and learn to trust that he doesn't have intention to ridicule me. For awhile, I didn't know I had avpd. It actually only came up months later when I told him I might have it and he responded with "you didn't know?" hahaha. But overall I am lucky to have someone willing to be so accommodating is all, I'd say he's managing it more than I am & he playfully calls me a "live rsd simulator" sometimes for this reason 😭😭
