Personally I feel like Medic is exactly the type of person to knock back cups of xanax tea with his monkey son together so they can take part in xanax-fueled carnage together. But at the same time I doubt Medic would want to share with anyone else. He views the monkey as an extension of himself, his heir. As such, he must teach the monkey his ways.
