They are f2u! I found them online and edited them. Though, if you used the exact metadata coding, then I expect credits. I fought tooth and nail to get a good, nearly perfect code for my borders. The only one that I'd say needs credit is Nurse's yumelist Rentry which I did edit heavily to create.

Though, inspiration can come from anything and everything! You can give people the same theme and assignment, but what they do with it will differ as everyone is creative and unique in their own ways. Since you mentioned /kiss, I was inspired by the lovecore aesthetic when making it. Lovecore is an old favorite of mine, so I was glad to be able to honor it. It fits Mayu Sakuma too!

As for the advice, I believe that you are in the right here. If this person believed it was unfairly reclaimed, then they could send an appeal to Rentry about it rather than making it a big deal. Making a big deal is unfortunately the norm in Rentry URL spaces... People on Rentry are insane about URLs, which is a tad bit strange and chronically online in my opinion! People also want a reason to hate someone in order to express repressed emotions and hate, so it's most likely this person was causing drama for the sake of it. Do not feel bad dear, if it was fair then you're fine to keep it! I wish you well in your journey and hopefully, you use it... after all, the form exists to reassign unused URLs. ( ꈍ◡ꈍ)

The process of every GIF varies, though it's typically getting a template, editing layer styles, masking the GIF, and then doing finishing touches like resizing if it's large. Hello, dear anonoomf! With my laptop broken at the moment, I cannot provide my own folder of dawnloadable contents (CoE reference. Smirks). One day, I'll upload all of my files onto Google Drive though. It'll make transferring files easier and faster on my end (and for public interest)... For now, I shall give you the resources that I do use:

PNGs 〜➩ Tumblr and sometimes Pinterest, but then I’ll have to go and search for the transparent PNG… Dream recommended Yandex for PNGs if I recall? You may use that too. If there’s an image you want to make into a PNG, then use Remove.bg

Backgrounds 〜➩ Also Tumblr and Pinterest but also Flickr. I enjoy looking through old Tumblr blogs for aesthetic images. From the top of my head, I use Jetix. You can probably find blogs with reblogs or uploads of cool images by looking at the notes. In addition, I put my images through Carrd.co, blur it, and then download it by inspecting the source code. It just makes it easier to focus on the inner container’s contents. “Very graphic design” my friend said.

Borders 〜➩ Ishimori, Scripted, Foollovers and my Codepen.io page has some borders stored. If there’s a Discord link, then put the link onto Discord to “revive” it. For the record, I do not actually live in the place where my Codepen page states. It’s just an inside joke between my former FP/ex and me.

My coloring might make it look “authentic” as I do not go 100% with all my filters but keep it <50% opacity to preserve the original colors. I may edit my filters to fit the theme more and keeping it at a low opacity helps me with editing it. I get my PSD colorings (and some PNGs) from Deviantart.

As for my favorite resource sites, I have a secret… I do not go on the popular resource sites! I dislike using what everyone else is using — it feels less unique to me if I do that. Instead, I use old Tumblr blogs, archives of resource Carrds, and a site for handpicking pixels. I spent like, an hour finding this one divider I used in 2022-2023 so that I could reuse it again on the /Cherry rebrand.
