When you're feeling anxious to the point of nausea or being lightheaded; you should try drinking fluids, eating a bit of food or taking time to rest. Walks are considered to be great for anxiety, as it'll help with blood circulation and I think being active tends to help with grounding, but don't exert yourself if your body is already exhausted from your anxiety.
Well I think one piece of advice for insomnia... Is to not be like me right now and place yourself in front of a device like a phone, phone or anything with a screen for media. Just go back to bed and try to close your eyes, because seriously, your device is not going to naturally lull you to sleep. /gen

Yeah because you were either physically or mentally tired, or bored cuz that happens too. Your device is definitely not going to help you fall asleep. The light emanating from it? It's going to prevent you from from feeling comfortable and sleeping. The notifications (especially if you're someone who compulsively checks notifs)? That's going to fuel you to stay awake and keep tapping away. Whatever games or apps you like on that device too, yeahhh they'll keep you up so PUT IT DOWN! /srs
Put the phone down, close the laptop, and lay in bed even if you can't fall asleep.
"What about music or noise? I need that to sleep."
That's... Different I guess. If it actually helps you sleep, that's probably the only exception. I guess it's fine. /gen
After that, I unfortunately don't have much advice for people who need help falling asleep with insomnia, because I most certainly can't right now.
I think if anyone needs aggressive music for venting or processing negative emotions, I'd probably recommend listening to Stomach Book. Her music touches sensitive topics, so listener's discretion is advised and I recommend checking the lyrics beforehand.
Just a thought.
Reminder that sometimes, anxiety occurs or worsens when you haven't taken care of your body.
If you want to lessen the symptoms, check if you're eating or drinking properly and whether your sleep schedule is healthy. Anxiety is commonly linked with your physical health, since physical stress also causes distress to your brain and not just emotional stress.
(This might be helpful to those with alexithymia... I think.)
It's really unfortunate when someone who makes you super uncomfortable get interested in the same media as you... (¬_¬)
At least i think the guy who showed interest isn't being genuine about it, and I rather believe that for now. This isn't directed at anyone on neospring or that I friended on discord btw. /gen
Kinda tired of them ffs. I'll show interest in what they like, I'll share some opinions on their interests, I'll even feign interest at times so they don't think I'm an asshole for not liking their interests!!
But they can't say anything positive or productive about what I like?? Okay maybe I'm exaggerating since there's still at least one thing we both like but...
GOD THEY NEVER SAY ANYTHING INTERESTING OR USEFUL, HOW AM I EVEN RELATED TO SOMEONE LIKE THAT? No wonder they said they relate to Patrick star, nah wtf man... I can see why and sometimes I wonder why I try to empathize with them /srs
At the end of the day. I can't really do much, you can't force people to show interest or react in the way you'd want them to react. That, I know and should just accept it.
