Most of the time, not really… the acting industry is very competitive, actresses in lower positions know they don’t have a much of a say because they can be easily replaced. This is why many netizens in China were sympathetic to SMY’s protest without knowing she’s a lesbian etc
Oh that's heartbreaking, but also not surprising. I just hope the crew and directors take the safety and comfort of the actors/actresses into account when filming those kinds of scenes
