acute laryngitis 💔 i have the common cold currently, & my larynx is inflamed as a result, meaning i can't speak (er. technically i can, but it's kind of painful & i'm very hoarse when i do). anyways you probably already know that "acute" in this context means something occurs quickly & usually clears up just as fast, but did you know that "-itis" as a suffix means something is inflamed ? i love medical names because most of them follow such a simple & easy to remember naming convention X)
