I remember reading The Outsiders in 6th grade for fun, and I loved it so much that I even read That was Then, This is Now to try to get my S.E. Hinton fix. I believe it was in 7th grade that it was required reading, but it was a piece of cake, seeing as I had already immersed myself in it. Have you ever watched the movie for it?
