Have a ton but it’s mostly rap music because I’ve hated singing ever since I was little. I was always embarrassed by my singing. Rapping was just words with music in the background and I loved how badass and easy it was for me. I’ve made my own raps but haven’t released them, I just wrote them. Same with my dad but with his it was songs. He wrote them in the late 80s and early 90s. No I don’t think I associate it with anything

Favourite song is Gemini by Roi, I associate it a lot with Geminis (As, it's in the name and lyrics lmao), the colours purple and blue, and myself of course, as I myself am a Gemini, relate to it heavily, and I'm also kin with the main character of the mv

It just, really resonated with me, and helped me work out certain aspects of myself, like my name, Renato, for example. The other names I had tried before didn't really stick, which was a big problem as someone who struggles with identity regularly, so coming across Gemini helped me pinpoint something that felt right, and I've managed to stick with it

Thanks to my major fixation on the song and how much I related to it, I managed to keep associating myself with the name Renato to the point where it felt like it was me, fully, and not just something I go by occasionally because of a little long lasting kinshift or random mood

While Gemini isn't the only piece of media to help me find and build my own identity, it is one that helped immensely, and I love it for that

SO MANY......... but honestly one ive been listening to a suspicious amount of times recently is bakenohana/flower of transformation/monstrous flower, id consider it a favorite of mine now, I associate it with mizu5 and being trans (for some context: mizu5/where does the path of thorns lead to? is a project sekai event that happened in october of last year, its centered around a trans character named akiyama mizuki and her struggles, she ends up being outed by students and as well as misgendered while they were outing her to her friend ena, the song was specifically commissioned for the event, so thats where the association comes from) As to y its a favorite, i find myself relating to parts of the song, and somewhat the mizu5 event itself, although im supported by a lot of people, if not most, i had one experience online with a 'friend' where i might not have been
