i love hearing your thoughts on madara so i wanted to hear if you have any on uke madara if its okay :) hope you have a nice day/night btw!! š
Thank you so much! It makes me embarrassed to talk so much about my rival, but heās hard not to think about.
As you may be able to tell by the emojis in my location (meant to signify TsumuMadaTsumu, for those not in the know), I see Madara as reversible. However, one could say to be an uke is his default. I know why itās unpopular, but I might even prefer him as one; my reasoning being as simple as me being the type who enjoys seeing characters in unexpected (on a surface level) positions, ones that bring out different sides of them or push them to their limits.
Madara is proficient in the art of āfumbling the bagā, so to speak. That isnāt to say a seme canāt, but he has a lot of traits that can be read as āukefulā in a way that I personally enjoy. He may be audacious and bold, but beneath that heās self conscious & sacrificial. He craves love, but heās hesitant to ask for it. Heāll ātake initiativeā (be annoying, look after someone, or both) until he realizes heās getting too close. God forbid it be returned, for heāll be at a loss. Did you see him in that Idol Story with Kurou? Yeahā¦ that is, in part, why I confidently make so many jokes about that aspect of him. Heās so unused to reciprocity that itās impossible for him to take responsibility for anotherās feelings properly if itās up to him, afraid of harming them in a way thatās almost condescending due to the assumption that nobody would be able to handle him. He might think itās to protect others, but it might be to protect his heart without realizing. That should make him bad at receiving, right? Isnāt that what being an uke is? I think it could also make him bad at attacking in any meaningful way. Either way, itās interesting.
There are many flavours of Madara that I enjoy! Iāve observed that in other cases, i.e. Hiiro, āā can cause a big disparity when it comes to peopleās interpretation of their motivations, personality, sometimes even their physique. It can be downright reductive. Madara, from what Iāve seen, has a characterization that is more consistently faithful (unless they are being indulgent or using him as a vessel, which isnāt illegal but does make go, hey, this isnāt how he would act at all ā same with Rinne, too) but itās never too egregious, hahaha.
Madara is a character that, to me, has to be tamed. Iāve said this for years. As aptly put by my friend Taya, heās a big dog thatās hard to get a leash on (or even find one that fits at all). This aspect of him is easy to bend in either direction. But because heās the kind of guy to do whatever he wants whenever he wants, Iād like to see him be put in his place in the sense that he bit off more than he could chew.
Essentially, he is an uke until it is more entertaining for him not to be, typically due to being out-ukeād. For example, Iām infinitely more fixed when it comes to Rei, thus, Madaraās uke-isms are overridden (youāre just not there yet, successor). They are similar in a lot of ways, but I feel Rei is more inclined to be an uke (previously flamboyant, nowā¦ a tired old man!) In an exciting way, Madara as a person is less bait-and-switch, and more push-and-pull (there is nuance). I like when heās cocky until he isnāt, I like if others assume heās a seme when heās not, and I like if heās doted on the way in a way that would heal the damaged child inside of him (itād be fine if this happened when heās the seme, too), even if I also like when heās teasing and kind of awful. I like to see him be pathetic too, crumbling āMamaā and only leaving Madara (who can be cruel, butā¦). Oh, Rinne out-ukes him to me, too! I think itād be cute for Madara to uke for Chiaki, tooā¦ maybe it could start off as madachia, but end up reversed, with Chiaki pursuing him?! Much to think about. In MDKN don't care who's āā as long as Kanata is in control somehow. Generally, I most often like it when Madara is an older uke or younger seme.
Thatās it for now. Thank you, and sorry if it was nothing.
