I'm pretty sure it works with dumped / emulator save files too. And with the right equipment and/or software you can upload save files from emulator onto carts or digital games

oh, i've heard about it! I did hear that it only worked on games with a physical cartridge though (?) and I don't want to tamper with my copy of moon. I might do a bit of some research however.. being able to get shiny mew along with other pokemon is too tempting to pass
its blue !! and tiny !!
