someone once claimed i cant say im wasian bc my mum calls herself white?? like my stepdad is also wasian indonesian and acknowledges hes indonesian AND looks indonesian but also calls himself white, so that logic is stupid imo... also they said i can call myself german but not indonesian but im as much german as i am indonesian

BYE thats genuinely insane ??? im sorry u had to deal with their idiocy 😭 id say my personal craziest experience is when i told someone im chinese & have lived in china and their instantaneous conclusion was “well how are you in the usa now ? wouldnt you be executed for leaving ???” amd its like . something tells me you get all your information on china from tiktok & youtube shorts !
this omg as a wasian myself it is so exhausting telling non-wasians abt it . theyre always either like “oh well which are u MORE” becoz they will treat me differently depending on that, immediately jump to the conclusion im only like 4% chinese & obsessed with asians, or am lying it drives me CRAZY !!!!!!
