HI, SORRY ABOUT THAT. i'd been dealing with stuff, but still wanted to continue the convo...!

yeah, i feel similarly regarding shu – i have a harder time 'assigning' her songs than other characters... thank you to the person in the replies! i've been meaning to watch utena for a while so i might just do that soon.

i like your choices for rei songs & can definitely see where you're coming from for all of them! just vibes-based is totally fine, honestly. i've got a lot that are just vibes-based, too. i'm soo curious what else is on the watareichi playlist, if you'd like to share.

wanted to share this thought since you mentioned getting into project sekai somewhat recently: both lower one's eyes & twilight light are watarei songs To Me. it's about the themes of conflict & bittersweetness and feeling lost, not fully understanding each other but still finding comfort in each other & always finding their way back to each other (in very simplified terms, trying to keep it short). i'm not deeply invested in project sekai but i care for niigo and enjoy listening to their songs a lot (especially while writing, lately)

hii no worries! it is what it is, were all going through it rn

part of me wants to assign shu like symphonic metal as a genre bc my phase of being rlly into that overlapped with the time at which i found the like aesthetic valkyrie has extremely appealing. like the early teen goth phase ig?

ill post the watareichi playlist in the replies on twt/bsky as a screenshot!

and i kinda already dropped prsk (for now) bc its kind of a huge app that doesnt do well on my tablet.

I WAITED TO REPLY SO I COULD LISTEN TO THE SONGS YOU SENT ME ive been listening to niigo music specifically on-and-off for a lot while i was moving the last few weeks and especially taking care of my last apartment so ive definitely heard it before but yeaaah i can see what you mean with those songs.... ill integrate that into my belief system.
